Field Curvature of MFT 7-14mm f2.8 PRO and How To Focus It

일반적으로 초광각 렌즈는 상면만곡 현상이 있습니다.올림푸스 MFT 7-14mm f2.8 역시 아래  그림에서 보시는 바와 같이 예외는 아닙니다.

Most ultra wide angle lenses show field curvature.Olympus MFT 7-14mm f2.8 PRO is no exception as you see below.

주황색 선은 상면만곡의 형태를 대략적으로 보여줍니다.초점을 옮김에 따라 상면만곡도 그대로 따라 움직입니다.그래서 예를 들면 원거리 중앙부에 초점을 맞추면 중앙부는 정확히 초점이 맞지만 양쪽 끝 부분은 초점 범위를 벗어나게 됩니다.따라서 이 렌즈로 초점을 맞출시는 이러한 상면만곡의 형태를 고려하여 초점 포인트를 현명하게 결정해야 합니다.아래 그림에서 초점 위치에 따라 양쪽 끝 부분이 어떻게 되는지 살펴 보시기 바랍니다.참고로 전부 f2.8로 촬영한 것입니다.

Orange line shows the field curvature outline of Olympus MFT 7-14mm f2.8 PRO.As the focus point moves,the field curvature also moves along.As you may notice from the shape of field curvature of Olympus MFT 7-14mm f2.8 PRO,when you focus on the center of a distant scene,only the center is  focused exactly while the extreme corners of both ends is out of focus.Thus,you should wisely select the focus point when you focus with Olympus MFT 7-14mm f2.8 PRO considering the shape of field curvature of it .In the image below, look at what happens to both ends depending on the focus position.For reference, all images were taken at f2.8.

첨고로 상면만곡은 렌즈마다 다릅니다.따라서 상면만곡이 어떤 형태로 나타나는지 파악하는게 중요합니다.
